Upcoming Child Passenger Safety Webinars

Because so many in-person trainings have been cancelled or postponed, the UNC Highway Safety Research Center, Governor’s Highway Safety Program, and Safe Kids North Carolina have collaborated to bring the following webinar series to NC Technicians. Additional webinars may be added. Information about the 2020 webinar series is available here.

Pre-registration is required and login information will be emailed. Proof of attendance that includes the Event ID will be emailed following the session. To earn CEUs you must attend via the personalized link emailed to you when you register and be logged in for the entire webinar. Do not share a computer if you want CEUs. Webinars will not be recorded.

Children’s bodies grow and change at a rapid rate, which makes it difficult to find patterns in their biomechanical responses in crashes. This presentation will cover several key aspects of children’s physical development and their implications on crash injury outcomes. We will discuss how CPSTs can incorporate science-backed recommendations into their interactions with caregivers.
