Upcoming Child Passenger Safety Webinars

Because so many in-person trainings have been cancelled or postponed, the UNC Highway Safety Research Center, Governor’s Highway Safety Program, and Safe Kids North Carolina have collaborated to bring the following webinar series to NC Technicians. Additional webinars may be added.

Unless otherwise noted, each webinar is 1 CEU. Pre-registration is required and login information will be emailed. Proof of attendance that includes the Event ID will be emailed following the session. To earn CEUs you must attend via the personalized link emailed to you when you register and be logged in for the entire webinar. Do not share a computer if you want CEUs. Webinars will not be recorded.

LATCH, Beyond the Basics: Resources, Reminders and Current Issues

Students will have a quick review of LATCH concepts, then delve right into the history, testing and current industry standards for the LATCH system in motor vehicles.  Students will be guided through current LATCH configurations in vehicles today that can cause confusion for technicians and caregivers.  Students will use available resources to determine how these new designs are used so they can be better educators in the field.
