NC CPS Update/Refresher Class

Registration

Eligible Participants:

Current Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and Technician Instructors.

Registration Fee:

In general there is no registration fee for attending North Carolina Update/refresher classes, but registration is required. Local programs may charge a small fee to help cover costs associated with classes they sponsor. On-site registrations will not be accepted without prior approval by the Lead Instructor.

Maximum numbers of students may be set for individual classes.

Registration Process:

Registrations for NC-sponsored classes must be completed online through the buckleupnc.org website.* Registration includes the following steps:

1. Go to the online registration form - link provided below - and enter all required information into the class registration form.
2. The number of open seats in a class will be shown. You will be able to register for a class only is there are open seats in a class.
3. Select the class that you want to attend and that has open seats.
4. Please be sure to review the information entered into the registration form for completeness and accuracy and then click on the "Submit" button when ready.
5. This will take you to a "Pre-Registration Confirmation" page. You must click on the link on this page to open and print your pre-registration confirmation form. Please be sure to save a copy as a Word or other text document.
6. You will also receive a "registration is complete" confirmation email. A valid email address is required for this automatic registration confirmation.
7. Any registrant who will be unable to attend a class he/she is registered for must cancel their registration prior to the class.
8. PERSONS WHO FAIL TO CANCEL A REGISTRATION IN ADVANCE OF A CLASS AND FAIL TO SHOW FOR THE CLASS MAY JEOPARDIZE THEIR CHANCES OF BEING ABLE TO REGISTER FOR FUTURE CLASSES.
9. To cancel a registration:

• Contact the local contact listed for that class, or
• Call or email the NC CPS Resource Center at 800-672-4527 or cps@hsrc.unc.edu, or
• Click on the following link to change or cancel your existing Update/Refresher registration. This link is also included on the registration confirmations.

*Individuals without internet access or who are experiencing problems registering online may be able to register via mail. Contact the NC CPS Resource Center 800-672-4527 or 919-962-2202 for information.
