NC Child Passenger Safety Training Policies

The North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program and the NC Department of Insurance, the two state agencies providing the majority of the child passenger safety related funds within our state, have established the NC CPS Training Committee in part to develop and implement policies and procedures to be followed by agencies, programs, or individuals conducting CPS training programs sponsored in whole or in part by the State of North Carolina. These policies are related to (among others):

  • Roles, Responsibilities, and Authority
  • Approval of Technicians as Technician Instructor Candidates
  • Permanent Child Passenger Safety Checking Station Criteria
